Our story

Jannah means paradise. Ours is a garden in the heart of the Mediterranean.

Jannah is a modern Mediterranean restaurant on Jalan Pantai Seseh in Bali, a few minutes from Pererenan and Canggu. Flavours, spices and arts cross paths here and blend in harmony.

At the centre stands an 11-metre baobab, the tree of life, rising through the open roof. The building was inspired by the haciendas of Tulum and the riads of Morocco: tall walls and windows, a fortress around a garden. Shaped by old-world charm, we pair rustic Mediterranean simplicity with bold, soulful flavour, reimagined through a modern lens. The kitchen cooks over open fire, from wood-fired breads and dips to wagyu, whole fish and garden plates.

What does the name Jannah mean?

Jannah means paradise. The restaurant is imagined as a paradise garden in the heart of the Mediterranean, with a tree at its centre.

Jannah is open every day. Brunch and lunch are served from 08:00 to 17:00 and dinner from 18:00 to 23:00.

Who owns Jannah?

Jannah was created by owner, co-designer and general manager Bilel Khanatou, a Frenchman of Algerian and Moroccan heritage. The building was inspired by the haciendas of Tulum and the riads of Morocco, built around an 11-metre baobab tree.

What kind of food does Jannah serve?

Modern Mediterranean cooking with Middle Eastern and North African influences, much of it cooked over open fire: breads and dips, small plates like octopus, dolma and skewers, big plates such as Australian wagyu ribeye, whole red snapper and tiger prawns, and desserts like baklava cheesecake. There is a separate brunch menu.

Do I need a reservation?

Walk-ins are welcome when tables are free, but booking is recommended for dinner and for Thursday violin night. Reserve online through SevenRooms or message +62 822-2163-9931 on WhatsApp.

Is there live music?

Yes. Every Thursday from 7 pm there is violin night: dinner with a live violin performance in the garden.

Is there an art class?

Yes, every Wednesday Jannah hosts a relaxed art class evening. Message the team on WhatsApp to book a seat.

Are there vegetarian options?

Yes. The menu includes many vegetable dishes, such as charcoal roasted beetroot, smashed cucumber tahini, mushroom skewers, pan roasted cauliflower, broccolini and fire roasted carrots.

How much does dinner cost?

Small plates are around IDR 60–190K, big plates IDR 160–750K and signature cocktails IDR 150K. Prices are subject to 10% tax and 7% service.
